For an example, my acquaintance used Sir Isaac Newton who supposedly, as the story goes and I have no reason to refute it, was sitting under a tree when an apple fell on his head, so I laughed at this example and said; “sure, all that makes total sense and let’s add Sir Isaac Newton, sitting by a tree when the apple fell, just day dreaming – “ah gravity!” Ha ha ha.”

Now then, I’d like to add to his summation the concept of “cross-pollination” and being able to connect dots, in the spatial reasoning portion of the brain, borrowing from different industries, or areas of endeavor, and making sense of things unrelated, borrowing strategies, ideas, designs, innovations. Then I’d add the concept of curiosity, which causes random “thoughts to fly around” and some sit on the back burner, uncategorized, re-categorized, or waiting for a home while the mind finds multiple places to connect through memory by association.

Next, I also believe the N400 brainwave is able to pick up anomalies, things out of place, and that the brain’s chemical splash and reward system which favors such things, increases the brain’s ability to strengthen the connections in that regard, in those types of tasks.

Then I have some theories that there are all sorts of types of thinking and that it’s like racing. Use the whole track, and a super mind should be able to use various strategies of thinking when it serves them, and run those call them (programs) simultaneously, and cross-reference, checking itself. Best of all we can build a multi-decision matrix program to do that simultaneously to get to the Best Answer – in other words once we understand this process in a human brain we can build rules to program an Artificially Intelligent computer like IBM’s Watson to do the same.

Well, I’ve talked long enough, and it’s time for you to have some “Quiet Time” to think – me too, and do let me know what you come up with after you’ve broken through to the next level of higher thought and have come up with an original thought along these lines of inquiry.

There are many kind of love spells: Voodoo, Wiccan, Witchcraft, among others. Why are not these simply “love spells”? How are they different?

Voodoo and Wicca are religions. We can refer to a religion as a set of beliefs and worship of Gods or deities. The latter is why ceremonial magick practices such as invocation (calling a deity into one self) and evocation (calling an entity into one’s presence) tend to form part of these magickal religions. Thus, Voodoo and Wiccan love spells are done based on certain beliefs and deities.

In fact, in some cases, Voodoo and Wiccan love spells are nothing but offerings to their deities in exchange of their wish. The herbs, stones, crystals, etc., in them are used to attract and appeal a specific deity or deities.

Witchcraft is not a religion (although many consider it to be one). Witchcraft love spells do not necessarily involve deities. This system is simply after the outcome.

I would like to point that a love spell does not need to involve deities to be effective. In this case the spell caster uses his psychic abilities to alter reality in the higher planes which reflects in the physical plane. This is what the hermetic law “as above so below” refers to. It is the principle of magick.

You may have experienced or heard about people being able to view the future in dreams. They were able to do so while traveling – usually unconscious – through the higher planes before it reflect into the physical plane.

How does all this affect results? After all, these are all that matter. Personally, I have noticed that using deities in my spells “empowers” them. Results tend to come a little faster and with “bonus” benefits. It seems like deities, know how to bring the best results. On the other hand, using deities in spells can cancel them if their purpose does not go in accordance with the deity involved in them. So, a spell caster must know what he is doing; which deities to work with and when to work with them at all.

This should be no trouble to a professional caster, since he should have learnt this in his “novice phase” long ago. The only difference between Voodoo, Witchcraft and Wiccan love spells are how they are cast. Therefore, if well done, any of them will bring the positive results you’re looking for.

Our moon is a good astronomical target for stargazers for many good reasons. First of all it is very straightforward to identify. If you can’t find it in the sky, it probably simply means it is not currently there in the sky, whether because it’s a new moon or because it’s already set behind the horizion. Secondly it is the nearest thing for us to view here on Earth, and is the only object other than the Sun that may be observed as something besides a dot of light using the human eye alone. This permits us all to examine its surface area with good detail with optical aids that are offered to everyone. The very best telescopes are typically not even a necessity to watch the Moon, merely a pair of binoculars or even just just the naked eye.

The initial thing you ought to know about viewing our Moon is its cycle of phases. The moon moves around our planet nearly every 4 weeks. During this period the Moon’s position in regards to the Earth and Sun changes, and consequently the way in which it looks illuminated from our perspective fluctuates as well. While the Moon is in back of the planet Earth, we perceive the total lit up portion of the Moon; this is called a full moon. Since it circles around the our planet, over time less of the Moon’s illuminated exterior will become visible to us on Earth. During this time period the Moon is regarded to be waning. As it is waning it’s going to pass through the stages referred to as Gibbous, Quarter, and Crescent, each exhibiting less and less of its lit up area, until finally it gets to the New Moon phase. During this time period the Moon is positioned in between our planet and the Sun and therefore is not visible in the evening sky. After that, it starts the waxing phase and goes through the above mentioned phases, this time in the opposite direction, until finally it’s full again.

Many people would certainly believe that the best stage to head out stargazing for the Moon would certainly be the Full Moon phase, this is really incorrect. Watching throughout the Full Moon is actually considerably stressful on the eyes, because at this time it can be seven percent as luminous the Sun. Observing throughout the Full Moon is additionally not optimal since hardly any dark areas tend to be present on the surface of the Moon and as a result its physical appearance is likely to appear washed over.

Viewing through the intermediate Moon phases is undoubtedly optimal, given that the shadows developed by the perspective of the Sun makes all the features stand out at the observer and creates excellent contrasts on the Moon’s exterior. The best quality contrasts can be seen along side the terminator, or the term for the separating line between the dark and illuminated parts of the Moon.

The Moon’s surface is full of numerous interesting features which are superb to observe. The most widely known elements may just be the many craters which are found on the Moon. These craters were created by asteroids many years ago from the creation years of the Moon and our planet. Additionally, you will notice massive darker sectors upon the Moon, called Mare, which is latin for “seas”. These are not really waters but instead great areas of rock made from volcanoes. In addition, the same as the Earth, the Moon has a variety of various mountains and valleys which can be seen too. It is best that you find a map of the moon, in order to identify and read about the individual topographical features found on the Moon

It is truly amazing that we have allowed religion to cloud our judgment so much on the debate of whether or not there is life on Mars. There is life of course and probably complex life forms too.

While scientists debate over what type of microbes live their some religious groups say that it is impossible for microbes to live on Mars. Yet for there to be no microbes on Mars being this close to us and knowing that our two planets have traded material via meteorites or other venues is truly impossible.

It seems rather bizarre that anyone would even attempt to argue the point that God (assuming that there is such) only put life on Earth therefore there is no life on Mars. In fact for someone to even makes such an absurd statement such as that; well one would have to wonder which century we are living in now in the present period, as surely we have come further than this in our understanding of science and the world we live in.

No wonder Copernicus was treated the way he was, and to that point one could say, well we sure haven’t come all that far have we? We still have blowhard religious fundamental wonderbutts amongst us. That is to say those who are in wonder and taking out their rears unable to hold a thought in their brains or a concept in their minds. Think on this.

The Pentagram is portrayed by movies and books as a symbol that shows that vampires and friends of the devil are at work. Most people are conditioned to believe that the pentagram is synonymous with sexy young night stalkers or devil worshipers and the symbol has taken on the connotation of the embodiment of evil itself. Those in the community of earth based religions know that the truth is something different and that the Pentagram or Pentacle is a revered sign of energy and power. So if the Pentagram isn’t a mark of an evil fallen angel how do we find that there are so many references that portray it as such? We can look back into history and discover some simple truths around the many myths of the symbol.

First we should consider the five sided figure for what its simplicity defines. It is a geometric shape and like all such designs can be described mathematically. The Pentagram is unique in that it is a self-replicating design. A pentagram describes an interior pentagon which then can contain another pentagram and so on into infinity. The pentagram and pentagon are inextricably intertwined.

So how can this simple shape bring forth such images of power and fear? A look at the pattern as it has been used in the past shows us some surprising insights and perhaps some of the reasons for the way it is perceived.

The first known uses of the pentagram are found in Mesopotamian writings dating to about 3500 BC. The Hebrews saw it as a representation of the five books of Moses and even early Christians wore the symbol as a protective amulet. It came into use by the Greeks when the sage Pythagorus began to use it as a sign of protection. It’s hard to fathom how Pythagoras, living around the time of 500 B.C. could have had such an astute understanding of the nature of life and its mysteries. He is known to be the first man to call himself a philosopher and was considered a great mathematician and scientist. It is said that he traveled widely and studied at the great Egyptian learning centers of Memphis and Heliopolis. He gained a great following and eventually founded his own philosophical school at Croton in southern Italy. We owe him not only for the Pythagorean theory of Geometry but also for the theory of Harmonic Ratios upon which all western music is based. Modern computers are run on components designed after the Pythagoreum Theorum and the basis for an overwhelming majority of our music in everyday life is the sound of the perfect fifth designated by the ratio of the “evil” number,.666. Pythagoras is said to have used the five sided Pentagram as a symbol for his followers believing that it is one of natures’ favorite designs. So if this were true, would it not be a simple matter to find examples easily identifiable?

Modern science has shown us that life around us is built upon a combination of elements, substances which are basic components of the structure of matter. We are taught in education classes that elements can be classified in a periodic table according to their atomic weights. We have powerful scientific instruments such as the Electron Microscope which the ancients supposedly did not have and are thought to now have advanced knowledge. In the time of Pythagoras matter was seen as an order of geometric solids known later known as the Platonic solids. Named after the famous philosopher Plato they were depicted in the shapes of cubes, tetrahedrons and pentagonal three dimensional structures.

Through a microscope we can observe crystalline matter in the shape of a three dimensional pentagonal structure, an obvious example of one of these shapes. All life as we know it is based on the element carbon. All plants, animals, sea life and bacteria are carbon structures. A look at a basic carbon block shows us that it can be seen as a series of interlocking hexagons and pentagons, looking exactly like a modern soccer ball.

The five pointed structure is easily seen in observable nature. Leaves and flowers describe the symbol and sea creatures known as the Star fish and Pentagon crab mimic the design. One has to only look at the back of a common rose to see a perfect example of the Pentagram in nature. Is this then the work of the Devil? “So God created sea creatures and every living thing….” Genesis 1 v.21.

There is a more startling connection that reminds us of the ancient wisdom, “as above, so below”. Modern life surrounds us with a constant flow of sounds and images and we spend our lives following a social structure regulated by a clock. We live in or around brightly lit cities and largely ignore the true cycles of life until the changing of seasons brings about an important holiday. But mankind has struggled with the notion of time though through the centuries and different cultures have had to revise their calendars when their years became out of sync with the seasons. Most early civilizations used the moon as a way to keep time and relied on a lunar calendar to count the days. When deviations occurred an astrologer was consulted to correct the problem. The current Common Era Christian calendar was introduced by Pope Gregory XIII in 1582. Called the Gregorian Calendar it constituted a reform of the Julian Calendar brought into use by Julius Caesar in the first century B.C. Roman time had been marked with a Lunar calendar prior to this and was often chaotic. Sosigenes of Alexandria, a well known scientist and astrologer was consulted and he suggested that they should shift to the Egyptian method of using a solar calendar of 365 days plus an extra day every four years. The calendar was brought into use, however the method did not account for it being 11.25 minutes a year shorter so by 1582 the first day of spring was retarded by ten days. Pope Gregory’s reform brought this shortfall into proper alignment. At this time he also decreed that the New Year would now begin on January 1st. He was aided chiefly by neopolitan astrologer Luigi Ghiraldi in this effort.

So, how was the calendar brought into proper alignment? Though we can’t know for sure, there is information that leads many to believe the night sky holds the key.

Few people know a secret about our sister planet Venus. The orbit of Venus has a noted effect when viewed against the backdrop of the stars knows as the Zodiac. In fact the movement is so predictable that it can be used to mark time in a manner, “far more predictable than the proverbial Swiss clock.” Venus is the most accurate indicator of the passage of time available in our skies at night. The path of Venus marks out an eight year pattern in which the solar calendar, lunar calendar and the position of the stars can be synchronized within seconds. To the dismay of many, it can be seen that the pattern forms a perfect pentagram. The light of Venus shines so brightly in our skies that only the Sun and Moon are more prominent. Mound remains at Bryn Celli Ddu and New Grange, dated to 3500 B.C. measure specific arrivals of Venus’s re-occurring journey through our skies. These mounds and stone circles are not only in the British Isles but are known to exist over a wide area of the world including Miami, FL, Boston Massachusetts, Los Millares, Spain, southern Israel and Egypt. The Egyptians were great scientists and astronomers and placed great importance on the movements of Venus. Knowledge of this Venus cycle enables detailed predictions of Solar and Lunar eclipses as well as tidal information that would have been used by Priests and elders to mark holy days and plant crops. The ancient hieroglyph for the morning star Venus had a literal translation of “sacred knowledge”.

The Pentagram is seen in the microcosm as a building block of life. It is seen in observable nature as a normal occurrence. It is seen in the macrocosm as an integral part of the heavens. So is this all the work of the Devil? “When I consider the heavens, the work of your fingers, the Moon and the stars which you have ordained….” Psalms 8, v3.

It was Gregory the Great, (540-604 A.D.) who applied the term Lucifer to Satan from a passage of Isaiah, 14,12, “How art thou fallen from heaven, Lucifer, son of the morning…”. He continued an interpretation that has been used since the early Christian father Origen (185-254 A.D.) had first made the connection between Satan and Lucifer. Origen brought together diverse Old Testament references from Job, Ezekiel and Isaiah. Arguing that Lucifer, the Prince of Tyre, and the Leviathan of Job, were all identical with the Devil he used these texts to emphasize Satan’s pride and his fall from heaven. However the biblical reference was only meant to describe an Assyrian King who had persecuted the Israelites. The term “Lucifer” comes from the Latin “Luciferi”. It has two roots, “Lux” or “Lucis” meaning “light” and “Ferre” meaning “bringer” or “bearer”. Because of Venus’s brightness the ancients regarded it as “Lucifer” the “destroyer of darkness”. It was called a second sun by Pythagoras because of its brightness and was assigned divine qualities by the Greeks and Romans. The Egyptians identified the planet with Isis and gave it the Ankh as its symbol. Even in the Bible it is described, “I am the root and offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.” (Revelations 22 v21) In the forgotten history of the church one of the early Popes was called Lucifer as “Yonge and ecclesiastical records prove”. (Blavatsky, Planetary Symbolism, pg. 9)

Some time in medieval Christian theology the association of the term Lucifer began to take on an evil status. Why would we associate the term with the Devil and the symbol of Venus in the night sky with Satan? Perhaps it is because of the ancient worship of the horned Sartre Pan.

In the early religious beliefs he was the symbol of male fertility and was depicted perusing ancient forests in search of wood nymphs or sexy young females. Significantly he was seen as having the lower torso of a goat and sporting a pair of horns on his head. Christianity if its fervor to discredit the old religions came to label the free and fun loving Pan as evil and the goat god as a depiction of the Devil. But then Christianity has long waged war on so-called Pagans. “Temples were destroyed and people tortured and killed from Iceland to South America, from Ireland to Egypt in the name of Jesus Christ.” (Lyn Picknett and Clive Prince, The Templar Revelation, pg. 364)

It was King Ra-Neb, the second Pharaoh of the second dynasty of Egypt, about 2850 B.C. who first introduced the veneration of the Goat of Mendes. Medes was a city in the northwest Nile delta and the sacred goat, often called Chem or Ham was the Zodiacal goat of Capricorn. His symbol was the inverted Pentagram with two downward sloping side points representing ears and the single base point as a chin and beard. From the earliest times then even the inverted pentagram was an indication of spiritual worship. Today, though the inverted pentagram is thought by many as a symbol of the worship of Satan and Black Magic this can be seen as a product of the media treatment of the Pentagram as a whole.

Embarrassing to the church was the fact that horns had become associated with Godly communication and objects of kingly adornment due to a mistranslation of the Hebrew word for “ray”. It was for this reason the famous sculptor Michelangelo (1475-1564) added horns to his infamous statue of Moses in front of the Roman monument to Pope Julius II.

What of the simple five pointed star which is a Pentagram? Is it not the same symbol repeated fifty times on our own Nation’s flag? How many countries use stars as symbols around the world and how many businesses have stars in their logos? The star is used as a symbol of quality in the ratings of Hotels and Restaurants and teachers give their students stars as a reward for excellent performance. Is this all the work of the Devil? The obvious answer is no. There are some who would suggest that the use of the Pentagram would become evil or the sign of the Devil it were inferred by intent. However it seems contradictory when the symbol has been used for so long as a sign of protection and strength.

One of the fastest growing religious groups is known as Wicca. This is a diverse nature-based spiritual movement that began its modern revival in England about 1948 under the guidance of Gerald Gardner. Wicca draws on ancient roots to combine old ways with modern life and has opened up for many a holistic sense of spiritual power and grace. However these people are often derided because of the use of the word “witch” and their practice of inscribing Pentagrams. According to modern principles adopted by The Council of American Witches they believe that, “we do not accept the concept of “absolute evil” nor do we worship an entity know as “Satan” or “the Devil”. In his book The Complete Book of Witchcraft, Raymond Buckland describes the Pentagram as, “the symbol of an ancient concept that people have the ability to bring Spirit to Earth…the ability to bring Spirit to Earth is the ability to make human beings whole.” Wiccans have a code to live by known as the “Wiccan Rede”. This includes the idea, “A witch seeks to control the forces within that make life possible in order to live wisely and well, without harm to others, and in harmony with nature.” This is far from the sinister view that the modern mind conjures when the idea of a Pentagram arises. Yet the disinformation is carried and passed on daily. In general people are seen to be openly hostile to the idea of any type of reference to a Pentagram.

There are many who believe that peoples of these beliefs and in fact people of any faith other than their own are lost and don’t know that they are following the ways of the Devil. This view holds out the premise that people are ignorant, uninformed or perhaps “spiritually stupid”. Some people believe that they are the “chosen ones” or hold in their hands the true doctrine of God and therefore moral high ground. Needless to say there is not one among us who is not a sinner. John 8, v7, “He that is without sin among you, let him cast the first stone…”. Little known about so called “pagans” is the fact that all of these people both ancient and modern believe that one god is responsible for the wonders of life around us. The manifestations of nature and the cycles of life have been personified in the belief systems of these different religions yet they can be seen as wholly spiritual.

The Pentagram has been found extant in the ruins of the ancient Sumerian city of Uruk dating back to the 4th millennium BC. There are examples of the symbol throughout history showing that these civilizations not only understood the geometric proportions of the symbol but assigned spiritual meaning to it. It is inherent in nature, seen in the stars and exists as a building block of life. The truth about the Pentagram is that it is a symbol of our unity with god and the universe and is something to be used in contemplation of our place in the world.

If you’re writing an essay, the key to ensuring it is convincing is to present a strong argument and support it with strong evidence. However, if you want to take your essay to the next level you really need to present both sides of the argument, supporting evidence for both sides and then use your own viewpoint, knowledge and resources to challenge one or either of these arguments before coming to a conclusion. In this way you are presenting an argumentative essay, and applying your own theory, rather than simply relying on the facts already presented by others.

In order to write an argumentative essay, firstly, you should ensure that your title allows for argument. This is generally fairly easy to do particularly if you create a fairly open-ended title, or one containing the words ‘discuss’, ‘evaluate’ or ‘critique’. Once you have decided upon your title, you should then start to research the topic in question, ensuring that you look at every possible side of the argument, and bear in mind that there could be and normally are more than two sides to every argument. Your research should involve various sources, for example, literature reviews, interviews, and press or journal publications. And collating all of this information should provide you with a sound background to all of the relevant arguments.

When inputting all of this information into your argumentative essay you need to decide how you wish to present it. There are two main methods of doing this; the first is to present all of the arguments in one direction and then counteract that with all of the arguments favouring another direction. You can then summarise or conclude either at the end of each section or at the end of the entire essay, drawing together the arguments and giving your final opinion. However an alternative approach to take is to argue one particular point at a time, and present the countering arguments individually, so that your essay is a series of smaller topics discussed from all points of view. This demonstrates a good understanding of the topics and can allow for more intricate debate of the issues.

One of the most important parts of any essay is the conclusion, and in an essay that has debated or discussed a subject with strong argument it is much easier to draw a conclusion, and this will most likely fall on the side that presents the strongest argument.

We already familiar about a website which able to give online streaming video features such as Youtube. However, we can also search for alternative to such option, as one that will be given by Cnet. In broader sense, the latter is a place where you can watch any video online. But this basic function already complete with a feature from which you will be able to get important information by accessing particular video that featuring certain content. For example, you can get information about best ultrabooks, worst named product, and many more; just by clicking some playlist option already available in there.

Although so, it is not true that Cnet is only provides online streaming video, so too there is more than meets the eye. To be more exact, Cnet is a useful online source for streaming in which each of videos that already available there are categorized under consumer electronics and technology subject. It has generates over 43,000 electronic product reviews a year, and surely this is totally awesome for those who are seeking for some recommendation before they purchase particular electronic product (iPad, for example).
Nitrogen is an odorless, colorless and non-toxic element. It is non flammable and relatively inert. Nitrogen was first liquefied by two Polish physicists, Karol Olszewski and Zygmunt Wróblewski, at the Jagiellonian University on 15 April 1883. Liquid nitrogen is nitrogen existing in liquid form at an extremely low temperature. The chemical is commercially produced by the process of fractional distillation of liquid air.

Liquid nitrogen is sometimes denoted as LN, LN2 or LIN. It has the UN number 1977. At normal atmospheric pressure, the chemical boils at 77K (-321 °F or -196 °C). The chemical freezes at 63K (−346 °F or −210 °C). Since, it is extracted from the atmosphere; the chemical is considerably inexpensive and rarely refrigerated. It appears like boiling water. The chemical is kept in special insulated containers known as Dewars. These containers are used for safely storing and transporting the chemical. The liquid chemical can be easily transformed in solid state by positioning it in a vacuum chamber featuring a rotatory vacuum pump.

Liquid nitrogen is a cryogenic fluid. It has several cryogenic and cooling applications. The efficiency of liquid nitrogen as a coolant is limited because it starts boiling immediately on coming in contact with a warmer object. This phenomenon is known as the Leidenfrost effect. This effect applies to any fluid that comes in contact with an object hotter than its boiling point.

The chemical is used as a coolant for Charge Coupled Device cameras, which are used in astronomy applications. It is also used for storing cells at low temperature for laboratory applications. The liquid chemical also acts as a source of dry nitrogen gas. It also used for cryopreservation of blood, sperms, eggs and other biological samples for future studies and reanimation. It also used for freezing water pipes in situations where a valve is not installed to block the water flow. The liquid element is also used in the process of promession, which involves disposing off the dead bodies by freeze drying. The chemical is used for cooling a superconductor. Liquid nitrogen is also used as a coolant in controlled evaporation processes and for vacuum pump traps and computers. It also used as a coolant to shrink mechanical parts temporarily during machine assembly.

The chemical is also used for immersion freezing and transportation of food items. It is also used for preparing food products, such as ultra-smooth ice cream. The ultra smooth ice cream contains the same ingredients present in the regular ice cream, such as cream, fruits, chocolate chips, sugar and flavorings. This type of ice cream is frozen with the help of nitrogen instead of a freezer.

Nitrogen is also used in cryotherapy, which involves the removal of potentially malignant skin tissues and lesions, such as actinic keratosis and warts.

One of the most beautifully animated films in cinematic history, Finding Nemo won over crowds and critics alike. With its heart-warming tale, detailed underwater scenery and cast of endlessly entertaining characters, this film has a special place in households around the world. But have you ever thought about bringing it into the science classroom?

Finding movies to show in a science class can be challenging; often you can only rely on short snippets from films, or on television programs like “Bill Nye the Science Guy” or “MythBusters”. Whether you’re looking for a multi-period lesson or for a reward movie to celebrate, Finding Nemo can fit the bill. It can be used to jump-start the natural interest that children have in ocean life, coral reefs, and marine biology.

This movie is one of the most curriculum-flexible films you can use. Screen it before, during or after a unit on marine biology. Show it during environmental science to discuss habitats and human impact. Finding Nemo is great for students of all ages, from age 8 to 18.

Older students who have finished a unit on marine life or have just studied the phenomenon of symbiosis, can take notes during (or after) the film on the types of marine life and scientific concepts seen in the film. There are dozens of types of marine life and biological concepts shown in the film, including: algae, anemone, atoll, camouflage, barrier reef, budding, calcium carbonate, clownfish, colony, commensal relationship, coral bleaching, crepuscular, diurnal, East Australian Current, equator, eyespots, food chain, fringing reef, habitat, lagoon, limestone, Loggerhead sea turtles, nocturnal, Pacific blue tang phytoplankton, polyps, predator, prey, reef, scavenger, sperm, symbiosis, symbiotic relationship, zooplankton, and zooxanthellae.

Have students compare and contrast the physical appearance of the creatures in the film and their real-life counterparts. How accurate were the animators? Students can also write a fun essay comparing and contrasting a coral reef to a city. Both have systems for power sources, waste management, housing, construction, health, and even advertising!

And then there is the analogy of a coral reef to a city. Who are the protectors? Who are the garbage men? Who builds? Who destroys?

Discussion questions can include:

- Give a description of three symbiotic relationships between animals on a coral reef. What does it mean when an animal is at the top of its food chain?- When are predators more active? At dusk, at midday, in the night or in the morning? Why is this? “Diurnal” “Octurnal” What’s the difference?

- How could Nemo have avoided all problems that he caused himself and his father? Hint: it’s about obeying your parents?

- Name the largest non-human animal made structure in the world?

Welcoming Finding Nemo into your classroom can turn a routine marine biology lesson into an engrossing, and fun, experience for students of any age!
